Established in 2022, the Chu Teh-Chun Prize supports the artistic journey of Year 11 students at La Grande Boissière, offering them a unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage with art in a meaningful way. More than just a competition, this prize acts as a bridge between the academic world and the creative process, helping students to see art as a language of its own — a tool for introspection and a powerful means of expressing their vision of the world.

Through exploring the life and work of Chu Teh-Chun, students gain insight into the importance of perseverance, the richness of multicultural influences, and the essential role of self-reflection in artistic creation. These values, which guided the artist throughout his career, resonate strongly with the students' own creative experiences.

A jury made up of members of the Chu Teh-Chun Foundation, Ecolint representatives, and this year’s guest artist, Dr. Momar Seck, will select the most outstanding works. The overall winner will be awarded an artist residency, either in Switzerland or abroad, providing a unique opportunity to further develop their practice and explore new creative horizons.
